2003 - Canary Islands - EA8/HA7TM
In 2003 my partner and I, together with my friend Zoli (HA7DSZ) and his partner, decided to spend a holiday on Tenerife. As a relatively new operator at the time, I packed my IC-706 and a 14 MHz dipole. The QTH was far from ideal and the antenna sloped down into the yard, but I still managed to make quite a few QSOs. I returned several times later, this time deliberately booking accommodation on the top floor. That allowed me to install a 4-band DUNAX Yagi on the roof. This setup worked much better and produced several thousand QSOs from the island.
