Antenna Lift
I became tired of constantly having to find a crane and spending money on it. Together with my son-in-law and his father we designed a roller-based lifting carriage running in the type of C-rail commonly used for sliding gates. We extended the track upward in front of us as we worked until we reached the top. We then cut the upper platform so that, when the lift reaches its operating position, the structure behaves like a conventional tower. The antenna is mounted on the lift carriage rather than directly on the tower. The system has worked very well ever since, and we also adopted the same idea at HG7T in 2009.
